HOUSTON – Plenty has been written about the diverse and complementary abilities of the New Orleans Saints' young receiving trio, a group that made its case as the best in the NFL last season.
But the acrobatics and elusiveness of Michael Thomas, speed of Brandin Cooks and the quickness of Willie Snead isn't what got the attention of a physical Atlanta Falcons secondary this season.
These Saints receivers won't back down from a fight.
"They're not the wide receiver corps that runs out of bounds," Falcons safety Ricardo Allen said. "They're not running away from contact. They're staying in bounds, they're fighting for extra yardage, they're scrapping."
New Orleans dropped both of its games to the hated Falcons this season, but Drew Brees and the receiving corps deserve little of the blame. Brees threw for 376 and 350 yards in those two games this season, the most and third-most the Falcons allowed all season...
