Have been meaning to see that ever since it came out in theaters; i was a freshman in high school, one of my teachers went to see it and raved to the class how good it was.. for whatever reason, i’ve just never caught it when it was on, or never made a point to rent it or whatever.. and i find that with a lot of old movies, if you wait 25, 30 years or more to see it- it just doesn’t have the same impact as it would if you were seeing it ‘in the moment’ or shortly after.. case in point, i have a couple of good friends who’s tastes are similar to mine, and whose opinions i respect.. they both love the movie Planes Trains and Automobiles, like in their Top Five all-time love it.. i tried watching it a few years ago and just didn’t get it.
