Favorite current college football player (1 Viewer)

Chad Jones, Ricky-Jean Francois, Ciron Black, Richard Dickson, Darry Beckwith.

Also really looking forward to seeing Rahim Alem (formerly Al Jones, Chad Jones' brother) and Richard Murphy get more playing time.

From UGA, I like watching Moreno play. I am looking forward to see what Green and King will do this year if they can get on the field. From the rest of college football world, I will always stop to watch Tebow if Florida is on.

I like watching both of those players as long as we aren't the team they are running through.

I think for this upcoming year, I have to go with Ricky-Jean Francois. I can't wait to see the havoc he will cause as he destroys offenses week in and week out! As long as awbarn doesn't chop block him, wow! This is going to be fun!

However a guy I think is going to be a real future star... Patrick Johnson. This guy is going to be a complete stud and a great tiger before he leaves LSU.

Another poster said RP if he's allowed to start... He definitely won't be my favorite player, but he is probably one of the most interesting stories in the NCAA going into the season. With this kid, absolutely ANYTHING can happen... Would anyone be totally shocked if he pulled it together and became a #1 pick? And on the other hand, would anyone be totally shocked to see him working at Mcdonalds in a few years after flaming out in arena football or even shot and killed in a drive-by? He's the apparent heir to the throne to the defending national championship Tigers, and is in a situation that literally ANYTHING can happen...

And for all of you people that love to throw homer around, tell me what's more interesting than a former #1 recruit in the nation (QB no-less!) playing for the defending national championship in the best conference in football, and absolutely anything could happen with this kid??? Seriously, you can't write stuff like this!

RP would be the best player in football if he wasn't such a ****-up off the field.

True, but my qualifications for favorite player award require that you be a good citizen both on and off the field. Also I think you should be a great leader for your team.

Randy Moss is one of the all-time best receivers in the NFL, but I don't think leadership was ever his strong-suit. He's fun to watch and everything, but someone like Tom Brady would be a much better candidate. I'm just using NFL examples, because their careers are much longer so it's easier to use them as an example instead of someone playing 1 to 4 years. You really get an idea of what a guy's about.

Matt Flynn was also one of my favorite players last year. I just loved everything the guy represented and did. He wasn't the most talented, but wow the kid could lead and he wanted to PLAY and BE an LSU TIGER. I enjoy seeing guys like MF succeed.

Dorsey was my second favorite player last year. He gave up millions to come back and win a championship. He played hurt and never grumbled or caused drama after receiving an unpenalized illegal chop block. And he was a great leader. I think some serious consideration needs to be made to retiring his #.

When did we start keeping stats for leadership?

It's purely subjective, as is the question... If the question was who is the BEST college football player as opposed to your favorite, then ok then.

I just listed some of my own personal criteria for selecting a favorite player. Feel free to create your own criteria. It could be anything as silly as selecting a player with the same first name as you to whoever the best player is. Whatever floats your boat, it's all subjective.

Tim Tebow WAS Florida last year... I'm really looking forward to seeing what he can do next year and see how he develops...

I hate him! but I also enjoy what he does and love watching him destroy other teams!

It is pretty hard not to appreciate the player known as Tim Tebow. This is a good thread, I'd like to hear from some more fans of teams that I'm not that familiar.
