So I guess he’s human after all. Saints coach Sean Payton, a man who seemingly could do no wrong since the moment he arrived, finally had a bad day; his team losing miserably to the Baltimore Ravens, 35-22.
It appeared the Saints got festive for Halloween and decided to disguise themselves as the Haslett-era teams of old, where personal fouls, false starts and turnovers were a regular occurrence.
Indeed, some of the ghosts of Saints’ pasts haunted this year’s squad on Sunday. The Ravens executed their game plan perfectly with big plays on defense and a ball controlling offense while the Saints looked completely out of sync.
