So the FBI said they wouldn't charge her because there was no proof she knew she was committing a crime. That's ridiculous. Why can't everyone just do that then?

FBI has now stated that they knew she used software specifically designed to permanently destroy data on her hard drive. How does that not prove that she knew she was committing a crime?

Clinton used it?

Hillary installed and ran the software?

I doubt she has the technical knowledge to tell the difference between Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer, but you're kidding yourself if you think she didn't tell someone to get rid of the data on the server.

*Yawn* common practice... just like shredding drives when you no longer need them.

I'm sure she did tell someone to get rid of the data. That's what people do with computers they aren't using anymore.

And you really think that if it were a normal person (as opposed to one of our 'elite' rulers) who destroyed evidence that was requested by the FBI, they wouldn't be prosecuted for destroying said evidence?

I think if it had been an average citizen it never even would have gotten on the FBI's radar.

Obviously, the average person wouldn't have access to classified material like the Secretary of State. So, to compare apples to apples here's someone who was prosecuted under Cromey for something very similar. This guy was in the Navy.

Peak FBI Corruption? Meet Bryan Nishimura, Found Guilty For "Removal And Retention Of Classified Materials" | Zero Hedge

"What is even more shocking is that according to Comey, "we cannot find a case that would support bringing criminal charges on these facts."

Well, we did. Here is the FBI itself, less than a year ago, charging one Bryan H. Nishimura, 50, of Folsom, who pleaded guilty to "unauthorized removal and retention of classified materials" without malicious intent, in other words precisely what the FBI alleges Hillary did (h/t @DavidSirota):"

It's not the same thing. Hillary doesn't still have classified information in her possession. The retention part is why this guy got into trouble.

Of course, you will refuse to see how this example is different because you hate Hillary (and probally love Trump's straight talk and honesty).

Not when the data is evidence. If you destroy evidence that is a crime, so why weren't those charges brought up? I just don't understand the mental gymnastics that republican neocons and neolibs go through to maintain that their politician is perfect and the other side is evil. It's blatantly obvious that both sides (at least at the highest levels) are on the side of Wall street, the extremely wealthy and anyone who wants to be involved in pay-for-play. Hell, Bush and Obama's voting records are nearly identical. Both supported bailouts that cost taxpayers billions to help mega corporations and banks, both supported radical groups in the middle east and expanded our wars, both continued the same flawed monetary policy of printing money and further devaluing the dollar, neither has done anything about the war on drugs which is causing unmeasurable harm to our country, both supported stripping away our rights Bush through Patriot act and Obama through NDAA.....the list goes on and on and on.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

You really don't think Hillary had any classified info in her possession?

Well, if you are a fan of facts, here are 125 emails with classified material that she had on her private server.

Surprise! 125 Classified Exchanges Show Up In Latest Clinton E-mail Dump | Zero Hedge

Also, not a Trump fan at all, but I would prefer him to Hillary since Hillary has proven that she'll do everything possible to make herself money at the expense of America and the citizens. She's proven she'll continue the same failed policies of the neocons and neolibs that put is in the mess we're in. So, yeah I'd vote for Trump, a complete unknown, over someone who is overtly evil. Trump may be just as bad as Hitlery, but he can't be any worse.

Or in this case, shredding evidence before you're convicted.
Wiping out drives, shredding drives, 2-3 factor authentication, et al, those are all common routine prevention practices in government, financial institutions, etc. At work, we do all of that, and much, much more.

You know... It's been what, 22 years now? 22 years of crying wolf... At this point, it's not even crying wolf, it is the 2 year old rolling on the isle floor crying in Toy-R-Us because he's not getting the toy he wants.

But you keep going at it. Hopefully the coming meltdown will lead to a better GOP, or another party with actual American values beyond demagoguery and rhetoric.

She did not retain the classified information after she stopped working for the government and had a need to know the information.

It's not the same thing, and I don't care enough about what you think to try and argue with you about it.
