Was just watching a periscope feed on this. No real details yet and no major news source reporting.

A dumpster blew up at 8:30 p.m. Saturday night in Chelsea, blowing out the lower windows of a 14-story residence for the blind.

At least fifteen suffered minor injuries from what may have been an explosive device, police sources told The Post.

The explosion, described by one neighbor as “deafening,” happened outside the Associated Blind Housing facility at 135 W. 23rd Street. The facility provides housing, training and other services for the blind.

According to police radio transmissions, the people inside the facility have been initially told to remain inside as police began their investigation.

CNN says the device found on West 27th Street appears to be a pressure cooker.

Reading's for suckers
Reading is a path to understanding
Understanding is a path to perspective
Which is a path to context
Which would do things like make you realize that in most every way "things" are better now than they've ever been (while still appreciating how it could get better)

Why go to the trouble?
Rather take things out of context
Let .001% of occurrences define the behavior of 6 billion
And then color that with snarky comments

Reading's for suckers

few hours later, the authorities found and removed what they described as a second explosive device four blocks away, raising the possibility that two bombs had been planted in the heart of the city.

Along with the Bombing in new jersey yesterday at the marine corp race , This doesn't sound good for the new York area.

I just realized we are playing football in New York today...

While all bombs are bad, I do live i fear that one of these (Or Multiple) will go off on a Sunday afternoon in Football stadiums while we all watch it on TV...

Ban dumpsters? We've got to find some way to take something away from law abiding Americans.

You know, for their own good, or... For the children or something? What difference does it make?
