Week FOUR in the NFL is upon us, and it brings the undefeated New York Jets to the Big Easy for this weekend's NFL marquee matchup. Like Saints' fans, the Jets' faithful are having visions of a Miami vacation in early February based on a fast start to the season. The Saints will face their third young QB this year in Mark Sanchez, along with the league's best defense. Let's take a look at the Saints-Jets match-up and the rest of WEEK FOUR in the NFL.

QUICK THOUGHTS

-How great was it last week to watch the Saints physically manhandle a tough football team while displaying a dominating running attack and a stellar defensive performance? On the road, no less. That, boys and girls, was a defining moment for this coaching regime.

-Malcolm Jenkins, this year's first round pick, continues to make an impact every week on special teams. Jenkins is listed as questionable for this week's game, and it bears watching to see how the special teams will be affected if he cannot go.

-Pierre Thomas continues to build his legacy as one of the greatest success stories in franchise history. The undrafted free agent produced his statistical best running output of his career, all in the second half while battling the flu. Thomas continues to prove that he is the best pure running back on the roster, and once Mike Bell returns from injury, one of the biggest areas that was questionable prior to the season, will be one of the biggest strengths on the team.

-Last year's first round pick, Sedrick Ellis, had the type of game worthy of being the seventh pick in the draft. Ellis absolutely dominated the Bills' interior O-line, and had his best game as a pro. We can only hope that this is sign of things to come.

WEEK THREE-Saints vs. Jets

Line: Saints favored by 7

The #1 ranked Offense will battle the #3 ranked Defense in what should be a very entertaining chess match between Rex Ryan and Sean Payton. Jets' CB Darrelle Revis is becoming recognized as a top-notch shutdown cornerback, and Ryan's feisty demeanor has been contagious, as the Jets have started to steal the headlines away from New York's other professional football team. Rookie Mark Sanchez has been solid so far in his first three starts, and looks to have a bright future in the league. Former Saint punter Steve Weatherford returns to the Superdome, and something tells me we'll see plenty of him on Sunday.

The running attack carried the Saints' offense last week. Drew Brees gets back on track this week. Brees goes for 330 yards and three touchdowns. Jeremy Shockey gets another touchdown, along with Robert Meachem. Jets' defensive backs are hurting, on the road, and facing arguably the best QB in the NFL. Jets are a good team, but the trip to N.O. will be too much. Scott says take the Saints and lay the 7 points...Saints 34, Jets 17.
