Service in the military actually started in Aug '74 (John North was Head Coach of the Saints). Ten years later (including deployments with a Navy squadron, and also aboard an aircraft carrier, I got a chance to do a brief stint at the Naval Air Station in Belle Chase, LA.

Since Jan '86 I had two additional sea duty tours as well as 3 overseas tours. After retiring in Jan '02, we remained on the move (FL, VA, WI, TX, and CA), hither and yon.

There is no place on planet earth that is quite like New Orleans. Glad to be back home!
