1. Beat Seattle at home
2. Get Rankins and possibly Breaux back and beat the 49ers
3. Packers beat Falcons
4. Raiders beat Bucs
5. Bucs beat Falcons

Boom, first place at 4-4.

We don't need to be first in week 9. Just in week 17. With that said, what you presented is not entirely unrealistic. We just need to stay (get) healthy and keep improving.

We need the ball to bounce the right way a few times for that scenario to play out but the crazy thing is that it's not totally out of the realm of possibility.

If we could accidentally play good defense like the Giants game or first part of Carolina then we have a chance.

That is not a ridiculous scenario.

Heck, even the most recent vs the Chiefs, from mid 2nd quarter til the end of the game they gave up 6 points, 3 which came after a very short field due to the onside kick. That's pretty solid in a hostile environment like KC.

It's not fashionable to give props to the D after Labor Day

But really.....beat the Falcons. That's what it will most likely come down to. It is time to get some players back healthy.

I've never been a fashion conscious dude. It's why my wife does all the clothes shopping, heh.

Getting Breaux and Rankins back would make this very achievable.
Rankins has never played a down in the NFL....I am all for optimism but people act like we are getting von miller back from injury. That being said (HAHAHAH) I hope with all my heart he is the game wrecking beast everyone assumes he will be.
