I respect a lot of the folks on this blog. But I have been out of the loop -- no need to give specifics -- I am in a hospital right now. Now, then, I saw we got the best safety in the draft the other day, from Baja Oklahoma, what is the rest? I saw the Pine Bluff LT (OUTSTANDING), so what else is going on? Give me the one sentence wrap-up. No need to go into detail, I just been out of it. Did we get some D?????? I just turned on the NFL Network, but they don't talk about the Saints. How we doin' buddies? We got the Super Bowl or what? All the talk is about the great SF draft and the awful DAL draft. Give me sumpin......

San Fran now looks as good on paper as the Heat do, the saints had a solid draft and I think we picked up a few great pieces, and dallas made picks that were absolutely hilarious. the Jets 53 man roster is projected as 52 quarterbacks and Chris Ivory.

DT from Georgia J.Jenkins who is a monster. We drafted a wr Stills all in all a good solid draft now it's all about time will tell.

Basically for what we had to work with, some have used (i.e. Walter Camp) the phrase:
"The Saints are just killing this draft".

(Vaccaro) Hard to find coverage Safety, that excels @ defending TE and Slot receivers.

(Armstead) Very Athletic, speedy smaller school OT some had listed as #4 overall (behind the big three)

(Jenkins) A massive DT, prototypical NT with size and strength that is quick and can move around, with a good push

(Stills) A speedy receiver with experience @ playing outside or in the slot, with 4.3 speed @ 6'1-6'2

(Rufus Johnson) DE/OLB with speed and quickness, from a small school, that fits as a 3/4 OLB

Great value in (Armstead, Jenkins, Stills)
Possible diamond in the rough type: Rufus Johnson

We have the only 300lb offensive tackle in nfl history who can run a skinny post on a tackle eligible...well maybe not a skinny post but a post never the less. . Get well soon.

Whomever red thumbed him can go to hell. Seriously. Dudes in the hospital.

Anyway, basically we got 1st round talent with our first 3 picks.

First pick, Kenny Vacarro. Widely considered to be the best S in the draft. Played at U of Texas. Considered by many to also be the best coverage safety in the draft. Walterfootball gave us an A, as did CBS Sports.

Here is his scouting report: http://walterfootball.com/scoutingreport2013kvaccaro.php

In the third round, we picked a LT from Arkansas Pine-Bluff. Has the distinction of being the fastest T in the history of the combine. Ran faster than Manti Te'o. Walterfootball gave us another A for this pick as well.

We then traded Chris Ivory to the Jets for their 4th rd pick. We packaged that pick with our own and moved back into the 3rd, via Miami, and took the best 3-4 NT in the draft. Some said he was first round talent but his position wasn't as widely needed. John Jenkins is a 6"3, 360 billboard who eats space like its got hot sauce on it. He will step in and push Bunkley RIGHT AWAY. Down to 332 lbs. Shows his willingness and determination.

Here is a great article about him: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...ed-to-know-about-the-georgia-defensive-tackle

Then in the 5th we took Oklahoma WR Kenny Stills. Reports on him conflict when regarding his character, so the jury is still out on that. But he is a 6"1, 190 lb WR who, early in his career, flashed first round talent. Lets hope we can coach it back out of him. He ran a 4.38 forty and should replace Devery Henderson right away.

Then we took a DE from Tarleton State named Rufus Johnson.

All together, Walterfootball gave us an A for a great draft.

Meanwhile, Cowboys suck.

There ya go man. Well wishes to you!
