It began with Archie Manning's daring runs and precise rollout passes at Ole Miss. It continued with the eldest of Archie and Olivia Manning's three sons, Cooper, and continued with Peyton Manning's heroics at Tennessee and with the NFL's Indianapolis Colts.

And the circle was completed when Eli Manning showed his chops at quarterback, first at Isidore Newman High School in uptown New Orleans and then at Ole Miss, where his father was the greatest sporting icon in school history.
