everyone is thinking we will likely trade w/ the patriots if we trade up. Why is it out of the realm of possibility of us to try to trade w/ da raidas, they are cap hell, and i think we could pull that out before the pats. am i wrong in thinking this or am i just stupid..

If you can live with not having a second round pick (and maybe a tad more), then it is possible to trade with Oakland or Kansas City.

There's also the matter of cost too. A top five draft pick is going to cost $$$. The Saints already have several guys due contracts so adding another super expensive rookie wouldn't be a good move. While trading up to four might assure Dorsey or Ellis the cost in terms of picks and then signing them is too much.

Going up higher than #7 will cost too much in picks. I'd really like to have a 2nd round pick for either: Matt Forte, RB, Tulane or Martellus Bennett, TE Texas A&M or DuJuan Morgan, S, N. Car. St. or Andre Fluellen, DT, Florida St. or any other player that could come in and contribute right away.

I would even trade 1st round picks with Titans down to # 24 and give up the 2 rounder for Haynesworth.

haynesworth has only played 16 games in one season his whole career.
