Watch the Tampa game..... Fox pointed it out several times. The holes are there, he just chooses to bounce outside instead.

He had several lanes inside but he always does that little jump back and sideways thing and trys to run around the end.

If he cuts it back inside he has at least 50 yards rushing today.

He has a lot to learn......he's still a rookie after all....

On one of the plays Fox singled out, he had a 6 yard hole and bounces outside. He takes that hole, he has one DB to beat and he is taking it to the house, at the very least he has a 1st down and then some.

The media is jumping on the bandwagon of criticizing Bush. What they have not done is credit him for all the receptions out of the backfield in order to pickup a first down. The Saints are 6-2 and despite Bush not having any homerun plays to get everyone excited, he is very much a part of the overall success of the New Orleans Saints.

Which is why Deuce averaged about 2 yards a run today, right, because the lanes were great?

Fox pointed out ONE one one time. Not sure how you get several out of this. And you can't cut back when your body is turned against the line. That's the way that play is designed.

Our run blocking is NOT good. Against great defenses like Tampa and Baltimore, it shows big time. Deuce and Reggie both had bad games on the ground, period. If you're satisified with 2 yards a carry just because it's north and south, then you're too easily satisfied.

You can expect some more of this next week too against Pittsburgh, who is also good against the run but mediocre against the air raid.

Yeah, it was obvious that was on their card today to diss Reggie Bush's lack of north and south running. Fat man Tony is saying run it up the hole when he tries to cut back because the B gap was overloaded. What should he do? Run it straight for no gain? I don't get some people...we have a great game and the first thing someone jumps on to post about is Reggie's rushing but fails to mention Deuce only has 2 yards a carry in this game...perhaps 2 is satifactory to some people...

Too bad Bush doesn't have the end zone cam in his helmet.

The post isn't about Bush's ability to make plays in the receiving game, its about his obvious lack of rushing skills in the NFL up till now.

There is a large volume of fans on this board that blame Bush's rushing woes for the offensive line. I understand he has been important. I understand he has skills, I understand he is the player we should have picked with the #2 overall. However, his rushing problems can be attributed 90% to Reggie Bush....

I was actually amused by all the "hating" going on with the announcers about Reggie. Same thing here. Frag said it all....it's the run blocking....it's horrible. That's why arguably the best power runner in the game (Deuce) averaged 2 yards a carry. Don't let the talking heads on TV do your thinking for you. The problem is the run blocking...has been all year. Hit the mute button and it's pretty obvious.
