You know, this one really is interesting. From the eye test, no one will EVER mistake Joe Flacco for Drew Brees.

But Flacco has been to the playoffs EVERY year as a pro. He has been to THREE Championship games and finally 1 Super Bowl.

This isnt a Matt Ryan type issue, this dude wins in the post-season, so he certainly has an argument and this should get interesting. Honestly, looking solely at results ALONE, he is probably more deserving than 30 other QBs in the league.

But again, eye test says something totally different.

i hate this misconception; joe flacco doesn't make and win in the playoffs because he is a great quarterback. He wins because he is a capable quarterback surrounded by a great team. Ryan doesn't win because his team isn't the ravens; he has no running game or defense. It isn't that Ryan is a worse qb than flacco, just that the falcons are worse than the ravens. Brady won constantly in his first couple of years in the league and now hasn't won in years; he is not a worse qb now than he was then; he just had a better defensive backfield. The fact that Brees has won with a supporting cast that is clearly much worse than the ravens and the falcons (worse skill position players and defense) is why he is a elite quarterback.

Every QB will aim for the salary of the highest paid, but most won't get it. Flacco is more of a game manager QB than the type that can take over and win. Everyone knows that team wins with defense. If they were to pay him that kind of money, it has to come from somewhere. If it came from the defense, it would tear the team down.
