Yeah, I figured that out a little while after I posted it, that it was an old article. Still, was kinda of amusing.

Maybe its me, but I sure hate to see such fine pieces of machinery scrapped.

I agree with you there. I served on an LHD class amphibious ship that almost has the same lines as that British carrier.

Alas, that's a lot of steel not to be put to good use if she was just going to be laid up somewhere rotting away.
