For those of you who are waiting on Ourlads mock draft (1 Viewer)

wow, 8 cbs in the first round. Doesnt leave that much for us if we dont pull the trigger at ten or trade down not much farther than that.

That mock kills all my hopes for the picks above us - Ellis/Dorsey don't slide all the way to us. McFadden doesn't slide to entertain the trade down with Dallas. And even Clady would be nice to have at the number 10 pick. If the draft were to unfold like this, I wouldn't love it but would be okay with DRC. Especially if New England takes the guess work out of picking McKelvin or DRC.

If Dorsey is there at #8, I have a hard time believing we do not try to swing a trade with Baltimore to get him. Furthermore, I do not think Ellis fills a need for Oakland. They have needs at DE and McFadden will be tempting for them. Also, Ellis would fit in more with Cincy than Dorsey. Cincy is running that hybrid 3-4 scheme. Ellis' versatility--he can play both the nose and 3-tech--works better for them than does Dorsey who's simply a 3-technique guy.

I don't even agree with the 1st pick... I can see Miami taking Chris Long before Gholston.

And sanity rarely rules in Oakland... it's McFadden all the way there... if Howie's son is there, however, Chris Long is the pick.

i thought the prevailing view on ellis/dorsey was the reverse of that, with dorsey being more of th either nt or 3 tech and ellis more of just a 3 tech..

think both will be great wherever they land. where's the next warren sapp minus the mouth is at?

Given that the draft is six weeks away, this is a good mock draft, at least with regard to the first 10 picks.

I may simply be a pessimist, but I have a bad feeling about Cincinnati at 9. I am reminded of the 1987 draft when we picked Shawn Knight at 11, and the two picks right ahead of us were Jerome Brown to the Eagles at 9 and Rod Woodson to Pittsburgh at 10, as well as the year we picked Vaughn Dunbar at 20 and Kansas City at 19 picked Dale Carter who in his younger years was a very good CB.

No way Malcolm Kelly goes #11... in my opinion.

In my experience Ourlads has sucked if I remember correctly. I seem to remember glaring mistakes and omissions....anyone have similar recollection of years past??

You know there's got to be some trades in there somewhere that's going to mess the whole thing up. And I heard a good point the other day: most teams don't always pick for just need. They look at contracts of players on their team, BPA, money, all kinds of things.

I'm one of those who's glued to the TV on draft day Saturday cause it always turns out weird somewhere.

the best things about all these mocks is:

Pick # 31- New England: Forfeited Pick

I have never enjoyed skimming the mocks as much as I have this year.
