Just saw it tonight and I didn't really expect too much. It is a Spanish movie with English subtitles but believe me, it doesn't get in the way. This movie was made by the same director of "Pan's Labyrinth" and it doesn't disappoint. It revolves around a woman who as a youngster who lived at the orphanage until adopted. She later returns with her doctor husband and adopted son to live in and revive the orphanage for special needs children. Her son has imaginary friends who are disrupting things and causing tension.
This film will give you goosebumps and at times is downright creepy. I can't tell you much more or it gives too much away. Suffice it to say it's worth a few bucks and IMO, could be a pretty good date movie.
"The Orphanage" will probably not get much play widely, but do yourself a favor and find where it's playing and enjoy this little film.
