Right after the Saints had turned a 17-13 game into a blowout, I ran from my seat in Bally’s Casino in Las Vegas to grab a piece of pizza. While in line, I overheard two Eagles fans chatting.

Fan No. 1: “How are they doing this to us? Our defense has never looked so bad.”

Fan No. 2: “Brees is good but the Saints defense (expletive) stinks. They aren’t Super Bowl worthy.”

Fan No. 1: “Dude, with an offense like that, what’s it matter how they play defense?”
