Chairman ready to tackle issues with Superdome Commission

Ron Forman could have picked an easier time to take the reins as chairman of the Superdome Commission, but it wouldn't have been as fun or as important.
The next four years could be the most pivotal in the history of New Orleans professional sports.
What happens in that span almost certainly will determine the city's long-term future as a major sports market.
If Forman and the Louisiana Stadium and Exposition District team can fulfill the mission charged to them by Gov. Bobby Jindal, the Saints and Hornets eventually will be locked into long-term contracts, a refurbished Superdome once again will become a regular host site for major professional sporting events and its footprint on Poydras Street a revitalized entertainment hub for the city.
Some might call it a dream.
Forman calls it a vision, a big one that Louisiana's new governor believes not only can but will happen in the next four to eight years.
