Wow very sad news. I’ve always been terrified of rock climbing, one of the last things I’d ever attempt to do. RIP to them both.

Escobar was standout player in the NOLA bowl game against the Ragin’ Cajuns. Thought he’d have a better pro career than he did. Sad to hear. So young. RIP.

Yep. Hate to come across as being harsh or judgmental in the wake of someone's death, but if even one person re-evaluates their inherently dangerous and life-threatening recreational choices for the sake of their family/children, I'm perfectly fine coming across as an ice hole. We have enough broken homes and parentless children out there for myriad other reasons.

Same. My kids joke that it made me soft. It very much did. I was a hell raiser before they were born.

I just hope they were using safety equipment cuz this becomes way worse if it was something they could've easily prevented.
