I think Mathieu will be fine now that’s he settled. Took him some games to adjust in our defense, but came on strong for the rest of the season. He was our only DB getting turnovers.

He just looked old and slow to me last year

I agree. Once TM was comfortable in the defense, he played very well and became the player I expected. He’s an asset to our team.
