Former New Orleans Saints free agent target Ezekiel Ansah agreed to a one-year contract with the Seattle Seahawks, as first reported by Adam Schefter of ESPN. Ansah had several productive seasons with the Detroit Lions before a 2018 shoulder injury ended his year prematurely, and even put his career in jeopardy.

The Saints met with Ansah shortly after the free agency signing period began in March, but their questions surrounding his recovery put any decision on the shelf until later in the spring. Ansah passed his post-surgery checkup late in April, and began visiting with other teams including the Seahawks. New Orleans has its bookend pass rushers set in Cameron Jordan and Marcus Davenport, so it made sense for Ansah to check into other teams in search of a starting job.
