I think not trying to market it as competition to the NFL helps. I also notice they didn't really go after any NFL has-beens or big name NFL Busts. I think maybe Paxton Lynch probably was the biggest?

Yea, I don't think he's a starter in the USFL either.
I'm glad they aren't trying to get NFL rejects. There are a few guys who played in the NFL, but they were all late round/UDFA. I like they are using mostly fresh guys and not old recycled NFL leftovers
