Unlike last year with Drew’s thumb when they knew he’d be back for the playoffs, there is at least a decent chance Saints will need one or both backup QBs to lead team in playoffs. IMHO Coach needs to let the guys play to see what he’s got rather than play too conservatively. in the next few games. Heck if these guys can’t do it against the Falcons’ D what chance do the Saints have to advance in the playoffs with them at QB.

I feel like the biggest fallacy with the 3rd and Taysom is a few thing. Needs more trick plays. It doesn't mesh with Brees at his age and would infinitely be more successful if you have a mobile or athletic QB like a Murray/Wilson on the field the same time. Winston isn't the answer to that, but he's a way better option than Brees at 41 years old. Who is off the field or window dressing. Winston/Hill combo present you the option to bring more motion and check outs.

Lateral sweeps into RPO plays with a quick out of boundary exit, Taysom Hill fleaflicker back to Jameis, Hill checking himself into the slot, etc.

So, a lot of Taysom's success is really through brute force. I do think 3rd and Taysom could be a big play spectacle if we decide to draft a real dual threat QB.
