I like reading these are articles. They look at the other 3 teams and give a different perspective on them. The Saints are about 2/3 of the way down.

I don't know when that quote by him is from but that kind of talk never has any bearing on contract negotiation. There is no "because I like you discount" If the Saints have any leverage at all to get him into a more team friendly contract than what CM signed, it rest solely on the fact that he is still under contract this year. He gets paid more as a true FA but there is risk for him in waiting to that point to negotiate. Especially at that position.
