Now, I know what you are thinking, and no this is not old news.

A Fort Worth police officer checking out a residence with an open door opened fire on a woman inside her home, killing her, authorities said.
...
In the Fort Worth shooting at 2:25 a.m. Saturday, authorities have the officer's body-camera footage.

According to NBC Dallas-Fort Worth, the imagery shows the perspective of the officer outside a home, peering inside a window using a flashlight, spotting someone inside standing near a window and telling her, "Put your hands up — show me your hands," before opening fire.

Fort Worth police say one shot was fired.

Officers entered the home and began providing emergency medical care to the woman. She succumbed to her wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Why were the police even at the home?

So the resident has an open front door and perhaps doesn't know it. Police see an open door and decide to investigate. Resident awakens to noise outside and peers outside the window to see what's going on. Police enter the house, announce themselves, and shoot simultaneously. Appears to me improper procedures by the police. Something seems fishy to me here. Since when are Police patrolling neighborhoods looking for open doors? Why must the police wait until entering before announcing themselves?

Except, instead of announcing that they were police and entering the house, they prowled around outside and when they saw someone inside from the window, they yell "Put your hands up — show me your hands," and then shoot her dead.

Again, they never said they were police.

Here's the body cam footage for those who would watch. The screen door was closed. She didn't have a chance.

So, how many weeks of paid leave is he going to get?

A neighbor called in a welfare check bc the door was open and lights were on
That’s why the cops were there

No explanation yet why they would kill a woman in cold blood

Cover up the truth when necessary

Wow, and so few of them were actually even punished.

Only 4 were fired and no criminal charges. Destroying hand-written witness statements and then "personally recreating" them in order to cover up a murder should be a MUCH bigger deal.

I've seen on Instagram that the victim has ties to New Orleans. She graduated from Xavier University.

Said in the main article a neighbor noticed the door open and called the police.
