it's not so much the scaring the bejeezes out of the kid (though I still think that's a bit much), it's the filming it AND SHARING IT ON THE INTERNET. Like that kid need for all of his friends to see him crying.

He probably doesn't have any friends.

...sorry I couldn't help myself.

I am generally not in favor of parents being deliberately cruel to their children. And I think this qualifies. I can see how the dad thought it would be funny, but as soon as he realized it was NOT funny to his son, the prank should have been over, the tape should have stop rolling, and the hugging and the apologies should have started.

If he knew this was a sensitive kid, then setting up this joke qualifies as cruel. This is not the way to "toughen up" a kid who is sensitive or scares easily. Doing this on purpose to frighten him would qualify as bullying.

And making fun of the kid for crying is ridiculous. He's a KID.

Here's a little girl playing the maze.

This is the funniest one I've seen.

I have to admit I laughed when it happened, but the poor kid's reaction was not what I expected. Maybe it was an age inappropriate trick. I think he was too young or immature for such a joke.

It's wrong for a father, but okay if it's a sibling IMO. But if I had a child, i'd get his sibling to show it to em.
