If you like points, there’s a great chance for a super high-scoring affair!

The New Orleans Pelicans are the Western Conference’s remaining undefeated team and they’ll put that perfect record to the test in the next hour against the Brooklyn Nets. You can catch the broadcast on Fox Sports New Orleans at 7:00 p.m. Central or listen in over the airwaves at 99.5 FM WRNO.

The Nets haven’t cracked the 30-win barrier in the past three seasons, but don’t expect for them to look like one of the worst teams in the league tonight. They play hard, they play aggressive, and if their shot is dropping, they’re a handful. If you may remember, the Pelicans needed overtime to prevail in one of their two matchups last season, a game in which Anthony Davis unleashed the beast.

FLASHBACK FRIDAY : @AntDavis23 scores 44 points (16/35 FG), grabs 17 rebounds, 6 steals and 3 blocked shots as he leads the Pelicans to double-OT win sparking a 10-game win streak.

While Brooklyn sits 2-2, with wins over the Knicks and Cavaliers, the Pelicans, of course, have begun the year on fire. They have the top rated offense in the league and are motoring at the second fastest pace. New Orleans scored 138 and 128 points against the Nets last season. What should we expect from the upgraded offense that is averaging 132 points per game from this year’s group???

One important note to remember: Julius Randle is still dealing with plantar fasciitis in his left foot. Expect for his minutes to stay below the 30-minute mark in the near future.

Not happening tonight. The Pels decided to sleepwalk through this one against the Nets.
No defense and low percentage shooting tells the tale.
I suppose New Orleans caught looking ahead to the Jazz tomorrow night. :covri:

Well they are staying in it by effort. But man they look messy tonight. The shooting is terrible.

The Nets are going to have to go cold from the 3-point line. They have been hot all night.

I don't understand how the Pels went on a 10-0 run to win... but they did it!

I'm still in shock! :omg2:

They got lucky, but good teams do that.

It seemed like the Nets were hitting 3s at will. Good thing there are no really good 3 pt shooting teams on the schedule anytime soon.

And Jrue Holiday broke out tonight. He had been less than his real self over the first few games before Brooklyn.
