Garbage collection in New Orleans (1 Viewer)

Other parishes around us are able to pick up the garbage twice a week. Why can’t Orleans? Are the two companies(Metro and Richards) that poorly run? Who is stealing the $ that we pay for garbage collection?

It's pissing me off. They still haven't taken my trash in the Irish Channel and it's been almost two weeks since the storm.

Considerations:
- there was already a driver shortage before the storm
- trash collectors are part of the same evacuation dynamic we are - maybe a critical mass hasn’t come back
- impassable roads for trucks
- overloaded treatment plants

Collections in this part of Metry resumed today, but they only picked up the roller cans. Any other cans/bags were left on the curb.

It’s getting picked up in at Bernard, st Tammany, and jefferson
It’s been 3 weeks for my street
Sorry, that’s just an incompetent business
Metro and Richards need to be replaced in Orleans

It's an essential city service. I get a week but going on two when the streets are clear and most have power? The job needs to be done.
