If the Falcons lose we'll be in a tie, not a half game back because tiebreakers don't go into effect until AFTER week 17.

i'd be willing to bet the team sees it as a half game back b/c in order to be ahead of the falcons for the division title... we currently HAVE TO HAVE a better record than them in the end.

i understand... just i believe u gotta think about not what gets you even... but what gets you ahead... and that's why i and a lot of other fans add the "half game" to indicate the tiebreaker.
