This would be very interesting.

While polls show Vitter as the clear favorite in both the primary and the general election, one very senior Louisiana Republican predicted that if Honore runs, "He wins." As that GOP party elder further explained to the www.louisianaweekly.com and Bayoubuzz on the promise of confidentiality, "All he has to say is 'Stuck on Stupid', and Vitter is toast."

Very interesting.

I'm not particularly sure that I agree that Honore entering the race is a slam dunk victory for him (Louisiana can sometimes be an unusually fractious state and Honore's main automatic supporters would be from New Orleans) but, at the very least, he could do significant damage to Vitter and make it a lot easier for Melancon.

And I'm not ruling out the possibility that the article's slant is correct and Honore would win outright.
