I just want to point out that people should be mindful when they read this kind of court material that testimony - whether it be in the form of deposition transcripts or written testimony such as a declaration or written discovery response - is not fact, nor is it original source material.

I'm seeing quite a bit of activity on social media and in less-than-scrupulous media quoting testimony from the court release as if it were fact, or at least strongly insinuating that the testimony establishes facts or presumptions. But testimony is nothing more than a person's view and memory about the events and is often wrong. While yes it is sworn with penalty of perjury, and that does assist credibility, it is nonetheless one person's account and faulty memory, mistaken belief, or confusion are not perjury but nonetheless make testimony inaccurate.

Credibility is a huge factor in weighing of the merit of testimony - and where testimony is corroborated by other material including original source documents, data, or other credible testimony, confidence grows in that testimony. Conversely, where testimony is shown to be unreliable by those same factors or others (including recantations and other impeachment), confidence is diminished.

Not all of the released material here is testimony. The flight logs, for example, are contemporaneous original source material that, unless shown to be unreliable for some reason, have a greater presumption of accuracy over a person's memory. But my point is simply that material is from a court record doesn't mean we give it weight on its own accord - every bit of evidence has to be considered as to its form, nature, and reliability.

I don't think anyone in this thread is not agreeing that Rodgers took it way too far. But the fact of the matter is Kimmel has as well. Just because Rodgers took it further doesn't change the fact that Kimmel was out of line to begin with. Kimmel is petty & spiteful and Rodgers is obviously, overly vindictive. They are both in the wrong.

I mean, how is it even a conversation that these two things on the part of Kimmel and Rodgers are even in the same universe ? Unless you have some extreme agenda you are trying to push .

Let me say this. My opinion of rehabbing pedophiles is different than yours. I have not accused anyone in that list as a pedophile. But I was abused as a child by a family friend male, a family friend female an an uncle. Those moments in my life changed me and how I see and trust others among many other things. So you go ahead and preach from your lofty perch if you like.

How about I tell you about my time at after-school care at 7 years old? Or on the school bus at 9 years old where I was assigned a seat with a girl older than me who was touching me every day for months and the bus driver wouldn't listen?

And another thing. Aside from wondering what the hell as a 7 year old or a 10 year old an even a 14 year old again I was embarrassed. I told an aunt who took some money and moved on. Aside from saying this on here the only other person I have told what happened to me was my wife. 55 forking years old and I still live with that sheet.

I also want to point out that nothing I posted was about "rehabbing pedophiles."

It was about pointing out the dangers of accusing people of being pedophiles without evidence, and the historical genocidal implications of those accusations, and also that we currently are seeing a pattern of one side targeting the other with these accusations.
