Ghislaine Maxwell Trial (Epstein’s side piece) (34 Viewers)

I saw the name Stephen Hawking mentioned today... NGL... That one has me kind of has me twisted.

This goes to System Shock's point that you can't presume that a person having been on the island means that the person was involved in Epstein's world of sexual activity - Hawking was indeed on Epstein's island once, he attended a conference of the world's top astrophysicists on the topic of gravity, on St. Thomas in 2006 . . . an event that Epstein himself funded (he was apparently a physics junkie despite having not scientific training beyond high school). Apparently, the conference, which featured Hawking, three Noble laureates, and a handful of other world-leading physicists, included a day on Epstein's island.

'Cause Kimmel made fun of Rodgers' anti-vaxxing 'stache, it's ok for Rodgers to accuse Kimmel of being on the list of pedos.

For the record, I understand there really wasn't an actual list, and that anyone that had any sort of relation with Jeffrey wasn't necessarily involved in any illegal activity, whether they flew to his island in his jet or not.
Ha ! Rodgers never said Kimmel was on the list, not once.

He thought he could make something disappear, and appear,............... several times.

In fairness to David Copperfield, the documents contain no allegations of his wrongdoing:

  • David Copperfield: In her deposition, Johanna Sjoberg said she had dinner with magician David Copperfield at Epstein's home. Copperfield is not accused of any wrongdoing. Sjoberg said Copperfield asked her "if I was aware that girls were getting paid to find other girls," but testified he told her no specifics about that.

I agree, just pulling a Kimmel on the joke.

How so? Did he say Kimmel was on the list? I heard him say, "some people, Kimmel included, might not want the list to come out". That's what I heard. Maybe you heard differently.
You’re being obtuse.

Obviously, the implication from that statement is that he wouldn’t want the list to come out because he would be on it.

This is what we call an obvious inference: "There's a lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel, really hoping [the Epstein list] doesn't come out . . ."

I'm confused.... Can we just have the list of pedo's and groomers that went to the island and partook in activities... so they can all go to jail? Yes.... All of them.
iirc, the problem is Epstein made himself available to everyone. His black book certainly contains a laundry list of people who need to do serious time. It also contains a large number of names who likely did nothing more than make contact with him.

So much this. Epstein made himself available to numerous people for tons of stuff. Only part of it was the pedo ring. It's going to be a witch hunt in many cases.

Edit: Top was an older comment that I started to reply to but never finished and didn't realize it was still in the prompt.

Not a possibility that some of his friends, guests, etc. might be on that list, huh? Never assume, especially when Kimmel threatens to sue Rodgers with ZERO legal basis.

Start with his involvement and antics with The Man Show. Move on to his hypocritical nature and his penchant for passing personal attacks along as humor then finish with, IMO, using his platform to add to the political and social divide that is plaguing this society.
Thank you for answering
I never watched Man Show much - not my humor but I always thought it was somewhere between parody and satire- I guess it’s hard to draw that line, like people who don’t realize Fight Club or Archie Bunker is satire
The other ‘penchant’ stuff just seems like begging the question

When courts apply standards involving “a reasonable person,” they do it to specifically exclude arguments like yours.
