There are other places to cut spending, lot's of other places. IMO defense spending can be cut IF optimized without having to close bases or reduce readiness. Taking away the "spend it or lose it" mentality alone would probably save 100's of millions off the defense budget.

Doesn't confuse me.

All of the cool Presidents are doing it. You just cut taxes and spend like nobody has ever spent before. You just have to hope that people keep buying bonds (I.O.U.'s) in order to continue financing your spending habits.

Don't worry about all of that debt. You'll get yours and then get out. Along the way you can help out your family and friends.
