A couple of days ago I saw Scott Pioli that Dorsey was one of the jewels of free agency. He said Dorsey didn't shine with the Chiefs because of what was asked him to do, and that was to occupy linemen.

Pioli said Dorsey could have more impact depending on what he is asked to do. The interesting thing about it is that Pioli didn't draft Dorsey. Still, he only had good things to say about him.

Exactly. Dorsey is a far better pro than people seem to want to give him credit for, and given the 3-4 that the 9ers employ (one that allows DE's to be active in pass rush) I expect him to continue to do well.

I'm sure both Tamba Hali and Justin Houston will miss him greatly.

im guessing the 49'ers and Dorsey are both hoping that his game will be elevated by the talent around him. It could happen... but i just dont see it
