Can that computer handle apps?

Remember to look at the bright side if your candidate loses...

If the opposing candidate does a good job and makes the country better, that's good and you have nothing to complain about.

If the opposing candidate screws up the country, you have 4 years to post "Told you so, idiots!" on Facebook. Admit it - that would be fun.

Everyone go vote!*

*Unless you get all of your news from Facebook memes.

I wrote in myself. My money spent to vote ratio is way above the other candidates. If I had put forth more of an effort, I could've won.

Illegal to write in a candidate in this state. Go figure.

Not going to be brief on this one....

Just got back from voting at my regular location, at a few minutes to 3:00 PM ( ducked out of the office to do so). There was literally no line. Took me all of 5 minutes; maybe 1/2 hour total including my drive time.

There are a LOT more candidates listed on the ballot than the ones from the two major parties. No one is forcing you to vote for just either of those two choices. This was the case in not just the Presidential race, but also the Louisiana Senate race and even the local congressional race.

Some of you may then say, "well a vote for one of those other non-party candidates is throwing my vote away" or "a vote for a third, fourth or 10th party candidate is really just another vote for ____ (whatever major party candidate you most despise).

One the one hand, that kind of thinking is what got us into this two-party mess today. If everyone thinks like that, ergo, the two-party system will continue to really rule the roost. However if people REFUSE to accept these lame candidates (and if more "name" candidates had the cojones to run as independents), we might have elections like the 1860 one, where Lincoln took it in a 4 way race.

On the other hand, if you live, like I do, in a state that is traditionally and solidly one way or the other, YOUR INDIVIDUAL VOTE FOR PRESIDENT IS MEANINGLESS due to the winner-take-all electoral college system. Your vote only makes a difference if you live in a state like Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida, etc. Why do you you think the candidates don't even visit states like Louisiana, Hawaii, Oregon or Mississippi? Those states each go for one party's candidate; end of discussion.

So, vote -- or don't vote. Whatever makes you happy.

Well I voted for the Socialism Anti War dude. I'm down with the proletariat struggle...you dig?

Now to find out who the hell he is. :hihi:

Hey, remember how we all told each other to get out and vote? Well, we didn't mean some of you.

:hihi:

Clearly, supporters of the Democrats did not heed the message in this thread. Trump won with close to the same number of votes as Romney polled in 2012.

someone here called it a while ago after the first or second debate.. Trump fed his base some red meat to keep them engaged, and turned it so petty that it would likely hurt overall turn out.

Nailed it.
