[Merged] Good article from a sports reporter in Boston (1 Viewer)

Dead on in every respect. By blaming the Saints, you let those accountable for the egregious mistake off the hook.

My God that's almost written by a knowledgeable Saints fan who face crushed every absurd argument and boiled it down to exactly what the issue was and exactly why this will be forever unjust and why we can doe exactly what the article says - have the right to complain for eternity.

But this guy is wrong on at least one of his points. He claims that on our first down from the 13-yard line, the Rams only had one timeout left and then uses that to argue that if we had run on first down, we could have run it down to only 15 seconds before taking the field goal. That's not correct. The Rams had two timeouts at that point. They used one after our second down run and another on the tying drive.

Hey man, good to see you around these parts again. :cheer:

Actually, he's right. The Rams took their first timeout with 9:41 left in the 4th and the second one after the second down run by Kamara for no gain at 1:49.

That would've (well, it did, for their drive) leave them with one timeout if we would've been given that first down.

And...

the linked article from that article:

And...

the embedded video:

(I kinda sorta knew about the axis thing, but that was pretty amazing!)

And...

Sorry for the Tangent: on "The Ingram Angle" on FOXNEWS, they did a small segment about this fiasco (nothing new really), but what was nice was that they had Watson on there via feed.

(Too bad they didn't talk about his ailment, but a nice fluff piece nonetheless.)

FWIW, the show comes on again later tonight - it's around the 45 min mark of the show.

Excellent article, and should be forwarded to the Colin Cowherds, Jason Whitlocks & others who are saying the Saints and their fans are "whining"
