I am new here but I have been reading post for a while. I think these guys took alot of junk last year, and they need to be noticed for what they have done this year.

Grant is tied for 7th with 4 sacks
smith is tied for 19th with 2.5 sacks

All kidding aside, anyone that ever thought coaching didn't make that much of a difference at this level should have had their eyes opened wide by what GW has brought to this team.

The jets o-line is usually pretty good against the pass, but your DEs owned them in the game. the worst i've seen the jets o-line owned by a d-line in a long time

Both Will & Charles tried to play through injuries in '08. Lots of people were down on them because they (as fans) didn't think they were being straight-up, and were merely covering for their lack of motivation and/or conditioning.

I think we can see now that they are both a FORCE to be reckoned with. And if they stay healthy, it will be a nightmare for the opposition... which is just the way we like it! :evilgrin:

That's what happens when you have a D-coordinator that can scheme to their players strengths instead of only rushing 4 lineman straight up the field. GW definately knows how to scheme to his players strengths

The Saints DE's are playing well this year and yes I believe the new scheme brought in by Coach Williams has alot to do with that. As long as we are giving Grant & Will Smith their accolades let's not forget the DT play, it also has been top notch..
