The article stated:

"Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense scored just three points due to the Saints offense's elite execution, which forced Green Bay into a negative game script that it couldn’t recover from."

IMO this statement by the writer ignores that the Saints were top 5 in scoring defense last season and have elite NFL talent at all levels of their defense. The Saints D has been top 5 in rush defense every season since 2018. It wasn't just being behind on the scoreboard and being "forced" to throw. The Packers were 1 of 10 on 3rd down conversions. No doubt that the Saints offense's time killing long scoring drives were complementary to the Saints D - as it should be, but we saw elite defense out there too.

what's going to happen when Brady watches this tape and shreds the defense and actually hands the ball off to a RB?

Excellent break-down!.. especially liked the part about how Marcus Williams "is no fool".. yesssirrr.. that's why he's still a Saint, and one of the best in the business.. glad the Saints kept him.. between him and Jenkins i'd say we have one of the best back ends in the league... keep it up DA, keep it up!

Don't think it ignores it, just points out that the defense got significant help from the offenses execution forcing the Packers to be one dimensional. No matter how dominant the defense is, when the offense can be unpredictable due to a threat of a running game they will have the leg up.

If the Saints offense can only muster field goals on those drives instead of TD's that script looks different.

Prior to the game it was noted Sean Payton did not want to get into a shootout ie the game was on the offense to protect the defense and at half time Lafleur mentioned he hadn't even gotten into his gameplan, alluding to the fact that they couldn't because of the way the game played out.

The entire article is about the defense so they writer didn't ignore them, just rightfully pointed out the offenses execution had a significant hand in how it turned out.

From an earlier post (that no one seems to acknowledge.)

Saw a stat on ESPN: Saints played man-to-man coverage most of the game.
AR had a 4.3 QBR when they did!
(He finished with a 13.5 QBR.)
Amazing!
Esp when considering who was playing back there!!!

we stuff the run just like we did against them last year in all three games.

they avg 3.7 against dallas this year. last year against us they avg 3.3, 1.6, and 3.6. they got a bunch of yards in the playoffs b/c we kept turning the ball over and they got to rush it 35 times. they were a bottom 6 rushing off last year for a reason and for their season avg they were at 4.1; so we held them below their already bad avg in all three of our games.

the key to beating them is dont turn the ball over and allow brady 2 easy TD passes starting on your side of the field.
