Great post on Reddit about Brees's chances on breaking the yardage record this season (1 Viewer)

He is the greatest statistical QB ever, it's that simple.

The only thing he lacks is that HUGE year of TD's (or very big year w/virtually no INT's)

He will hold all the records when it is over and the most amazing thing (other than the CURRENT lack of MVP) is that he will do it all while having the highest completion %, both single season and career.

Seriously, best batting average ever and the home run king? Imagine how that guy would be revered in baseball history.

Oh, yeah, that's right.

Babe frickin' Ruth.

That's how good Drew Brees is.

He'll need a couple of these games to be over 400 (something he's obviously capable of), I wouldn't put it past him.

This week in DET, Home vs TB, and then @ ATL (without Trufant) for maybe the division and a playoff spot.

I think all games will be over 300, but 400 would be insane. At that point it would be impossible for the MSM to not talk about him right?

Very improbable, but

beating Atlanta, resetting the pass yard record (for the 2nd time against them), and taking the division in the same game would be a pretty epic way to finish the regular season.
