greetings from a jets fan (2 Viewers)

Brady is good but they have no running game and I think Brady is still a little shell shocked from last year. The Patriots o-line isn't playing as well as it did last year. Not sure why.

Our Oline might be the best in the league. Brees doesn't get rattled. He has one of the quickest decision making minds in the NFL. I think he's been tested by the best for the past 5 years and has proven he can handle tough defenses.

I'm loving the Jets right now. They look impressive. I have both Cotchery and Sanchez in my FF league. But lets be honest, Sanchez is a rookie QB and he hasn't even crossed my starting line-up. I think you guys have the best rookie QB in the league and a franchise player for the future, but if this game is a shoot out. Your rookie will be exposed as truly not having the experience to hang with Brees.

The Jets do have a great defense and I'm not taking anything away from you guys, but you are going to be playing the #1 not #3, the #1 offense that has more weapons than ANY team in the NFL. Who do you cover when you have Colston, Meachem, Henderson, Shockey and Bush all running WR routes.

I know you probably don't know much about Meachem but he's a 2007 1st round pick that couldn't break the starting lineup. Not because he's not good, but because he couldn't displace the guys ahead of him.

And if you could figure out how to stop the pass, PT Cruiser will run it down your throat. You can't blitz on every down like you did Brady. We have a running game. And our Oline is no pushover.

You have a chance, every team does on any given Sunday, but check the Vegas odds on this one. The SAINTS are going to WIN!!!

i'm actually very familiar with your guys WRs, being the huge fantasy football fanatic that i am. you guys are very talented at WR even though teh only "big name" guy you have is colston. To make it worse teh jets might be w/o our #2 and #3 CBs which hurt us last week as well. were looking at signing two guys off there couch becuase were thin at CB right now (justin miller and corey ivy) but we do have revis who has shut down andre johnson and randy moss already this season. he will hold colston in check. its moore and meachem i'm worried about. henderson doens't worry me much cause he is a 1 trick pony.

Also in the pats game brady averaged less then 2 seconds per dropback when we blitzed him. in order for a Qb to take a 3 stop drop, plant and deliver a good pass he needs 2.5 seconds. thats why brady looked so off. brees hans't seen pressure like were goign to bring since he was in san diego. no lie. he will have a tougher time then you think.

either way i'm very excited to see this game as this is the toughest challange for the 2009 jets so far. and a win here would consider us a top 3 team.

also the pats haven't had a run game in years. didn't stop them from goign 16-0. there run game this year is the 2nd bets they've had since curtis martin was a patriot. the only year they had a better run game in the pasy 10 years was when they got corey dillion. fragile freddy is tearing it up for them. he just had a huge game against ATL.

Sanchez hasn't faced what's coming at him Sunday... You'll see.

i can't wait for it. i think were all stoked for sunday.

and i think we can all agree your the bets team the jets have faced and were the best team you guys have faced

Saints 42
Jets 17

The last 10 Jets points scored in desperation in the final 5 minutes of the 4th quarter to make the game seem closer than it actually is.

Punctuation - look into it.

Also, you seem to be losing control of your tenses. "The last ten Jets points" (that, I assume, was meant to be "Jets' points", no?) "scored in desperation" . . . do you mean they were already scored, or that they will be scored? Because if it's the latter, your sentence is not exactly written in perfect English.

Dude, even though that was funny, we are not allowed to drop the f-bomb on this site. I suggest you take it down quickly or you will get an infraction and the mods will take it down anyway.

Do it quickly.

Seriously.

Welcome to another well mannered opposing fan! I honestly believe this years trolling has been the finest ever seen! (Usually it's more like "we gonna kick yer as***s cause you sux and we dont and we gonna beat yor faces in// ur dome sux and katrina shoulda drowneded u"

I LIKE this kinda trolling. It's civilized while maintaining it's competitiveness. Hell, I'll even ask you to bring MORE like you. This place will be hoppin in no time!

henderson doens't worry me much cause he is a 1 trick pony.

Well, technically you're right about his being a one trick pony, but you should be very worried about him, because there aren't a lot of teams that can figure out how to stop his one trick.

Good luck covering Henderson with some guy off the street. He's one of the best pure deep threats in the NFL, with only 2 or 3 drops in the last two seasons. He's easily more of a threat to your team than Moore or Meachem. His deep out patterns REQUIRE safety help, because he's definitely faster than the corner that is covering him. He's also the Saints leader in receiving yards so far this season.

Of course, you'll try to be the start of stemming the tide, but season long projections for this "top 5" offense (who would you even put as close 2nd?):

Brees 4485 yds 48 TDs, 11 picks, 21 sacks
RBs 2731 yds, 26 TDs, 11 Fumbles

And this after one of usually 2-3 quiet games from Brees to balance the big Lions game.

Add in ball-hawking so far by D/ST:

Special Teams FRs 11
Defensive TOs 27

We'll know in a few months, but it looks like we could have a near all-time O (on a pace for 500 more yards and 7 more TDs than the 2007 Pats) and a near all-time high TO producing team. Maybe we won't get the short field, and maybe we'll stall on O, but so far, no reason to expect it yet.

Gotta say, you're a good crew here. Hope we play you guys again this year :hihi:

Greetings mr jet fan,

I'll keep it short and sweet. The Jets blitzing schemes better be top notch, if not your secondary will be very exposed. You all dont have 4 Revis's in your secondary, only one, so i think it's still in our favor. I hope you have some fast corners to cover both Devery and Meachem. Im sure it'll be the most entertaining game for both of our teams yet.

Is it just me or does anyone else think our defense is playing almost as good as the jets defense? Everyone keeps making this out to be the best O vs the best D but I'm not really seeing it.

I wouldn't say that but it is still too early to really know. When I see the Jets D it seems about making it hard for the QB and the O to get a read on what they are seeing. They seem to create extreme mismatches due to confusion. A controlled chaos. I'm certainly no analyst but it looks like the match-up of our O against their D is a good one ,both top tier units. Our D against their O also looks good, mid tier units. Assuming things are as they seem and no big mistakes on either side I can see this as a close game. Well have to generate a plausible running game and be tight on special teams. The interesting thing to me is what have we really seen from our D? I mean what else will they unveil? They look better each time they take the field. I wish we had Bell and more depth at left tackle but it is what it is and I'm interested in seeing how the team deals with this challenge. I think this will be their toughest test to date and how they deal with it will tell us a lot.
