Brady is good but they have no running game and I think Brady is still a little shell shocked from last year. The Patriots o-line isn't playing as well as it did last year. Not sure why.
Our Oline might be the best in the league. Brees doesn't get rattled. He has one of the quickest decision making minds in the NFL. I think he's been tested by the best for the past 5 years and has proven he can handle tough defenses.
I'm loving the Jets right now. They look impressive. I have both Cotchery and Sanchez in my FF league. But lets be honest, Sanchez is a rookie QB and he hasn't even crossed my starting line-up. I think you guys have the best rookie QB in the league and a franchise player for the future, but if this game is a shoot out. Your rookie will be exposed as truly not having the experience to hang with Brees.
The Jets do have a great defense and I'm not taking anything away from you guys, but you are going to be playing the #1 not #3, the #1 offense that has more weapons than ANY team in the NFL. Who do you cover when you have Colston, Meachem, Henderson, Shockey and Bush all running WR routes.
I know you probably don't know much about Meachem but he's a 2007 1st round pick that couldn't break the starting lineup. Not because he's not good, but because he couldn't displace the guys ahead of him.
And if you could figure out how to stop the pass, PT Cruiser will run it down your throat. You can't blitz on every down like you did Brady. We have a running game. And our Oline is no pushover.
You have a chance, every team does on any given Sunday, but check the Vegas odds on this one. The SAINTS are going to WIN!!!
i'm actually very familiar with your guys WRs, being the huge fantasy football fanatic that i am. you guys are very talented at WR even though teh only "big name" guy you have is colston. To make it worse teh jets might be w/o our #2 and #3 CBs which hurt us last week as well. were looking at signing two guys off there couch becuase were thin at CB right now (justin miller and corey ivy) but we do have revis who has shut down andre johnson and randy moss already this season. he will hold colston in check. its moore and meachem i'm worried about. henderson doens't worry me much cause he is a 1 trick pony.
Also in the pats game brady averaged less then 2 seconds per dropback when we blitzed him. in order for a Qb to take a 3 stop drop, plant and deliver a good pass he needs 2.5 seconds. thats why brady looked so off. brees hans't seen pressure like were goign to bring since he was in san diego. no lie. he will have a tougher time then you think.
either way i'm very excited to see this game as this is the toughest challange for the 2009 jets so far. and a win here would consider us a top 3 team.
also the pats haven't had a run game in years. didn't stop them from goign 16-0. there run game this year is the 2nd bets they've had since curtis martin was a patriot. the only year they had a better run game in the pasy 10 years was when they got corey dillion. fragile freddy is tearing it up for them. he just had a huge game against ATL.
Sanchez hasn't faced what's coming at him Sunday... You'll see.
i can't wait for it. i think were all stoked for sunday.
and i think we can all agree your the bets team the jets have faced and were the best team you guys have faced
