When you add the shrimp into the gumbo, do you turn off the heat immeadately and let them sit, or do you cook them for a while? I know all of the "experts" say turn the heat off immeadately after adding, but I want to know from the real experts.:hihi:

If you do let them cook for a while, when would you add in the fresh oysters?

Thanks

depends on how hot the gumbo is, i turn it off just after

oysters can be eaten raw so i dont think it would matter, but i dont eat them.

Just be sure to serve it with rice..... freakin' bears fans

:hihi:
