"Hall & Oates have always been cool, really, but Philly's blue-eyed soul duo is enjoying somewhat of a renaissance as of late, with the Gym Class Heroes naming one of their treks the "Daryl Hall For President Tour"; Daryl Hall getting artists like KT Tunstall, Chromeo, Diane Birch, and the Gym Class Heroes' Travis McCoy to guest on his online music/talk show, Live From Daryl's House; and Koot Hoomi and Robert Lurie paying homage to the duo on their tribute disc, The Dark Side Of Hall & Oates."

it's the thought that counts brah.

I have a couple of buddies who went to one of their shows a couple years ago. One dressed like Hall and one dressed like Oates and they got asked to go back stage to hang out with them. Lucky ********.

Hall & Oates were always drastically better than they got credit for, even when they were getting a lot of credit.

I've been a H&O advocate for years now. It's great to see them being recognized by the mainstream once again. Hmm...maybe it's time for me to switch back to my old avatar. Would have to update it, of course.

I've seen some of the shows and their great. Smokey Robinson was on one show. Great music and Daryl made falafels.

Its been 30 years, and that's the rule isn't it. After 30 years its cool again.

i have never had a finer moment than rolling into the 6th grade Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) dance wearing my Hall & Oates concert muscle shirt that my Mom got me when she went to see them, along with my black parachute pants and the switchblade comb that i used to tame my 'Corey Feldman-in- The Goonies' pompadour... U couldn't tell me nuthin'.

I got you. Hall & Oats outta time tour was the sh*&^ in the 80's. I also enjoy both of their solo work.

Good music is good music. Can't be denied.

Agreed. Saw their show in Austin back in '83. Good times.

back before Gym Class Heroes blew up, i hung out with Travis after one of their shows. we spent a few hours just singing Hall & Oates songs, making fun of emo girls that were coming out of the club (ahhh, the irony), discussing sneaker collections and talking about finding a hot girl that plays video games.
