Hand specialist goes in depth on injuries like Brees', time table for return (1 Viewer)

Maybe Drew can combine the platelet rich plasma along with that Snake oil that Tom Brady takes? I’m sure that would get him back in a few weeks
Sarcasm-ON
Tom Brady is a vampire. It's not Snake Oil. He drinks blood.

As long as he doesn't get advice from AB on cryogentic recovery...

I think I'd be watching over that there fancy Hollywood doctor like this.

Two factors in Drew’s timetable to return:
1. The extent, repair and recovery from the injury. Based on that article above we probably can expect no earlier than 6 weeks to a throwing program with perhaps another 2-3 weeks to be able to play. Worse case is 12-14 weeks.
2. The Saints’ chance for a playoff spot. If Teddy and Taysom are doing well enough to keep the team at the top of the division, no reason to risk the reinjury factor noted in the article by bringing him back in 6 weeks. If the Saints are too far out no reason to bring him back at all. The tough decision will be if they are say 2 games back with 6 games left due to mediocre QB play, they will be tempted to bring him back perhaps too early.
My preference is I wouldn’t push him too hard. If the chance with Drew is a small one for a wild card only, it might be better to finish lower in the division and getting a higher draft pick and easier schedule next year for one last Brees led Super Bowl push.
