In honor of Presidents Day I present, from my personal collection, George Washington's ax that he used to chop down the cherry tree.
I had to replace the original handle because it rotted out. And I replaced the ax blade since the original was all chipped and rusted. But it all still occupies the same space. :hihi:

It really is a shame that William Henry Harrison died in 30 days. So much promise . . . who knows, we could all be flying rocket cars these days had he lived.

I wish I could be celebrating while off work.

Our school district finally gave us President's Day as a holiday three years ago. So far we have been off exactly one President's Day. The other two years we had to make up bad weather days. Today was one of those makeup days.
