Guaranteed contracts, Worked out great for the NBA and MLB . No parity , Super teams in big markets. players forming super teams with their buddies. There is a REASON why the NFL is the biggest dog in town . EVERY team has a shot not just the big markets and the richest ownersThe players have been needing to do this for a damn long time. Until they can get guaranteed contracts, they need to dig their heels in as deeply as possible.
Get that garbage outta here. The NFL may not have big market supremacy but this entire forum just spent the last season constantly discussing how the league was fixing things for their golden boy franchises like GB, SF, etc., and we literally had a SB appearance stolen from us and given to L.A. I'll gladly take a future where the Saints never win another SB if it means that the players that put their health into a trash compactor so we can have entertainment don't end up homeless or unable to pay medical bills cuz their career ended after a year or two and they got gutted by 7-figure medical bills.
I get where you're coming from but a "full time" college student is like 4 classes. In a perfect world, yes. But you'd be naive to think that these guys are always in a position to go to class and have time to study. A lot of schools' football players probably get very lenient treatment so it's not like a 20 year old kid is just gonna go to class 12-15 hours a week, study for another 10-20 hours, and still practice and work out how ever many hours they do when they're having administrators give them a playful pat on the arse and telling them to just focus on their "dreams" and they'll make it to the big time.
On top of this, there are probably some situations where the kids are pressured into not even doing anything academic because the corrupt administrators think that'll take valuable field time away from them.

Exactly, but we know how that is not the case with probably 90% of these dumbchips!Hopefully they used that free education they got to actually get a degree where they have a backup plan.
Ah yes, it is the standard excuse. It is always somebody else (group), that is the reason for someone not doing what they should. It is old buddy. What about the small majority that actually take the opportunity by the horns and get their degrees? Just wondering. In a perfect world, yes. There is no chance of a strike or lock out this year. Possibly next year but it sounds like they just might get a new CBA in place before that happens. So what is the likelihood of a player strike or owner lockout? I assume I shouldn’t start making plans to visit for the early part of season 2020 just yet.
What you talking about? These kids don't go to school to get a degree. They go because college is the NFL's farm league and you have to be part of a corrupt system, where they are not paid, for at least three years. In most cases, guidance couselors have been steering blue chip projects away from serious academics since middle school because of their athletic potential.Ah yes, it is the standard excuse. QUIT WITH THE STEREOTYPICAL STORYLINE EXCUSES ALREADY! Call it what it is. They are dummies for not seeing what is afforded to them.
