Or are we going to be first to do it? :aargh:
The Fouts-era Chargers had a bunch of lousy seasons with the #1 offense and a defense that was usually around 25th-27th. This was after they made their run in '79-'82 (equivalent to our '09-'11). That's the best parallel I can draw.Bet we are the first ones to do it with a Hall of Fame QB and at top 10 offense over those same seasons.
I think Jeff Fisher has done it something like 15 years in a row.Or are we going to be first to do it? :aargh:
Not this year. Hes tired of it. 5-11I'm think Jeff Fisher has done it something like 15 years in a row.
And a two year extension as a result. His misuse of Todd Gurley has been borderline criminal for that fanbase. Not this year. Hes tired of it. 5-11
Exactly. Let's not anoint them winners of this stat just yet. They have four games to get through......we haven't actually gone 7-9 yet,so....which two games do we win to achieve this infamy,3 of 4 are away games ...![]()
They say you're either getting better or getting worse... the 2014 thru 2016 Saints beg to differ.Or are we going to be first to do it? :aargh:
You really don't think the Saints have a decent chance of (a) winning 1 of their 2 games against Tampa...........and (b) beating EITHER Arizona or Atlanta ?We'd have to go .500 from this point to achieve 7-9....not sure we can.
I think it's a toss up. We've been far too up and down, and the lows seem to me to be largely an effort/concentration issue - the players and coach alike. We're a long shot for the playoffs, while Tampa and Atlanta have much easier paths. They will put in the effort, will we? This Sunday will be very telling. You really don't think the Saints have a decent chance of (a) winning 1 of their 2 games against Tampa...........and (b) beating EITHER Arizona or Atlanta ?
7-9 isn't the issue. I just want to see if we can somehow string 4 in a row together.
