We have several of these in the house. Use them for music as we are Amazon Music subscribers. We do have a few Hue light bulbs that we can turn on and off by asking - but I would rather just use the Hue app if I am really too lazy to get up. The home automation systems are so fractured and you need too many different add-ons for any of them to be complete useful at this point.

I also have the google one that I use for the Nest doorbell since I couldn't get it working with the house doorbell. The voice control is turned off on that one.

If my Alexa were ever to break I could always go back to my knuckle dragging days and use one of those pencil things to write down on a dead tree.
