Healthcare activist bites off finger of counter-demonstrator (1 Viewer)

This is from the article:

I guess I'm trying to figure out why you think the 65 year old was the aggressor? And even if he was, does that justify maiming?

I heard an eyewitness interview today who said the pro-plan guy walked across the street to the anti-plan side and started the argument. He then picked out the weakest looking person there(the 65 year old) to continue the argument. Not sure how the 65 year old could be considered an aggressor under those circumstances. :idunno:

And he's a victim because it was his finger bitten off.

You obviously are a right winged Christian fanatic who is in bed with terrorists because its obvious the 65 year old was an anti-american racist nazi thug who was there to disrupt the gentle law abiding citizens who merely wanted to have an honest non-biased debate the healthcare proposal obama is proposing. Therefore that terrorist actually deserves to be arrested as well as having his finger bitten off.

"We’re still trying to figure out who was the aggressor,” Buschow said."

The old man started the violence:

Rice later told investigators he felt threatened by the man and punched him in the nose, Bonfiglio said.

No He was the agressor, he started the violence, thats whyhe got what was coming to him.

Why does everyone alway have to be a victim?

"After the argument, Rice returned to where his own group was standing. A man from Moveon.org’s area then walked over to the opponents and verbally confronted Rice, allegedly calling him names and acting aggressively, Bonfiglio said."

The Moveon.org member followed the 65 year old man across the street and confronted the man who in alledged self defense punched his pursuer.

Now his initial confrontation was rude, but he walked away and was pursued. Thus in no way remotely deserved to have his finger biting off, which whatever the case would not deserve that unless it was the only way to prevent someone from harming others. Thus your statement is absurd.

No sympathy here sorry.

For the record the other guy had/has it coming too.

If you are a hot head who looks to fly off the handle at this kinda thing you have no place at these debates.

He was not an innocent bystandard, and thus in my opinion, not a victim.

what sort of psychopath bites off someone else's finger?

Meh, the guy who lost his finger reads as the agressor.

There should be no violence at such events.

he got what was coming to him

wow.... serious bodily injury = getting what was coming to him.... thats a little much dont you think.

biting a protester you disagree with, i would expect nother less from a liberal......
