I'll take some 93 swamp arse over any of that ridiculous :100: "dry heat" any day and 2x on Sundays.

Dayum it's hot.

Ill swap the "feeling like im in a convection oven on broil" for some dry heat.

Even the humid air you breathe in is hot. At least there in shade, temps drop 15 degrees. Here, you simply cannot escape and sweat like a banshee in the rainforest.

Unfortunately Dallas will not be a dry heat. A muggy, sweat-when-you-step-outside, soul crushing kind of heat.

I just took a break from the desk and walked around outside. It's hot but dry. After 10 minutes, I'm not a sweaty mess and trying to get comfortable again. I'm with ya.

But the high temperatures this week in central Texas and elsewhere are concerning. It's only early June and we're on track to have an extended period of 100+ days. Drought, fire danger, and a Texas electric grid we can't have confidence in are looming large this summer.

I was born in it moulded by it
I thought I knew since NO and NYC summers were what I knew
My first summer in N Tx heat snuck up on me and smacked me around
My thermostat has never been the same

I was in Denver a few years back during a few days where we got burning "dry" 105 temps during the day, then needed a light sweater at night.

No. Sir. These places can keep their cray cray weather.
