I just took a break from the desk and walked around outside. It's hot but dry. After 10 minutes, I'm not a sweaty mess and trying to get comfortable again. I'm with ya.

But the high temperatures this week in central Texas and elsewhere are concerning. It's only early June and we're on track to have an extended period of 100+ days. Drought, fire danger, and a Texas electric grid we can't have confidence in are looming large this summer.

I thought I knew since NO and NYC summers were what I knew
My first summer in N Tx heat snuck up on me and smacked me around

I was in Denver a few years back during a few days where we got burning "dry" 105 temps during the day, then needed a light sweater at night.

No. Sir. These places can keep their cray cray weather.

My AC capacitor blew this evening. No spare. Luckily called local shop and the on call guy was a neighbor. He hooked me up.

I hate the humidity. The other night it was 64 degrees but 87% humidity. The air was thick, I was sweaty & it was hard to breathe.

I really prefer the dry heat but it does make me look 10 years older, my lips crack, my eyes burn & I get nose bleeds.

The highest it will get here this week is 76.
